offers a help web site for eventual problems and for upgrading
software.
Moreover, Logitech has put all
the drivers on a quicker FTP site.
ACWSoft
: numerous technical data, and all Quickcam software are
to be downloaded.
WebCamWorld : all
you want about Webcams.
Connectix
: It's possible to download the software' upgrading
on this old site (be careful : the Connectix site
isn't maintained any more, so it's better to check if a more
recent release is on the Logitech site).

QuickCam VC driver for Intel 486 chip
(13ko). Instructions by Philippe Viaud : the
c:\windows\system\cxlpt.vxd file must be renamed in
cxlpt.old, and the included file must install in the system
directory.
Windows Drivers for B&W, Color,
Express and VC QuickCam. This driver was made by J.P.Godard. It allows flat field and dark
preprocessing, automatic compositions, and it can consider
the turbulence, etc... Go and see all its possibilities !
Quick DOS driver for B&W QuickCam
(11ko) made by Yves Lhoumeau. It allows to use old
computers, such as 386 or SX 486, with a tsndard VGA display
in 320x200 full screen display! The small size of the
executable program explains why the interface is so basic.

processing software are :
Paint Shop Pro 5 (Shareware), can
be found in computer magazines' CD-ROM.
Graphics Workshop (Shareware),
can convert a BMP format image in a FITS format image .
Winmips 1.5c and Qmips32 1.3c,
powerful CCD image processing software, these old versions
are free.
Pises-Atlas-Prism 98, Atlas and
CCD image processing software, 500FF.
AstroArt, CCD image processing
software, the free ware version is available.
StellaImage,
CCD image processing software, trial version.
MaxIm DL (2.95Mo), CCD
image processing software, of Cyanogen Productions, trial version (maxi images
256x256), many interesting processing tools.
Gimp, a Photoshop-like, but free
